You're right. While some AAA offices were busy on Saturdays, many were not, so we recently modified all of our office hours. Since the hours vary by location, please use this list to see the new hours for the office(s) that are closest to you. Hopefully there will be a convenient time. Of course you can always reach us by phone or AAA.com. ![]()

About 16 Nov 09 I went to AAA Auto Club South on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota for the purpose of renting a car while attending a funeral in Pensacola. I requested a small vehicle from the following Wed PM until Sat AM. I was given a Hertz quote of $232.07. I complained to Liz Whitten at the AAA Office that this was pretty expensive. I was told that AAA was under contract with Hertz and this was the best AAA could do. I left AAA went home got on the computer and made arrangements to rent a small car for the same time period through Enterprise. My Enterprise rental cost was $137.33 almost $100 less than the quote from AAA. How can I believe that AAA is looking out for me with such a cost discrepancy ?
I would reccomend AAA...

because you can get discounted movie tickets. If you have a AAA close to you, I would suggest going and picking them up. The shipping and handeling eats up your disscount. Also I was at my sisters in FL, and I live in TN, but AAA still came and jumpstarted her car because I was there with my card. Very awesome.

I would tell a friend that AAA brings peace of mind! Car won't start in your driveway, call AAA .Locked your rental car keys in the car, call AAA. Slid off the road and got stuck in a snow bank, call AAA. They will send quick, courteous help and you just need your AAA card. One call can cover the cost of annual membership. That does not even metion all t6he other perks of membership. Would not leave home without it.

Yes, AAA has an exclusive agreement with Hertz which gives us some of the best deals possible, as member yacosta42 shares here and here.
We chose Hertz not only for their cars, but for a lot of the extras they include when renting—many exclusively for AAA members. Hertz is routinely rated #1 in the industry. When you're in an unfamiliar city or airport, there's great value in having a familiar friend like Hertz.
Reccommend AAA

I do reccommend AAA to many of my friends, lots of benefits, such as maps, as well as being able to get movie tickets for a discount price.

I understand AAA has a contract with Hertz and I assume you guys feel they provide a good service and that is why you chose them as a partner; however, I believe Bill is right when he says we can find better deals with some other rental car companies. What I do not agree with Bill in is that AAA does not care about their customers. I feel AAA tries to get what they feel are the better deals, even if in several areas they do not succeed as well as in some others. I can cite this one regarding Hertz (one of the more pricey car rental companies together with Avis) and the Auto Insurance, whose rates (at least for me) are way beyond what I would have expected from AAA. But overall, I still feel AAA provides a lotof good deals to its members for a modest yearly suscription.
