My New Year's resolutions are to get rid of some household clutter and to demonstrate more patience with my students.

I saw on a church sign the other day, "New Year's Revelation"----- it was awesome.  Rather than resolution they stated "revelation."  I wanted to share my revelation for the year 2010.  Let me give some background first.  My husband and I have just gotten back together after a one year separation.  It has been the hardest year of our life but the most fruitful.  We have learned how faithful God is.  We have learned that HIS love surpasses anything we could imagine and that life must be lived to the fullest each and every day.  So our revelation for the new year is to live life to the fullest, look at each other (and everyone else too) through the eyes of God and love with the Love of God.  What better love than the love of our creator.  We have started getting our bodies back in shape also --- eating right, exercising and having fun together.  Life is not all about work, work, work but there needs to be some play time also.  So as this 2010 year gets started, we are spending more time with each other, more time with God and not taking any moment for granite.  God is so faithful and loves us all immensely.  I'm very excited about this revelation for the New Year!

As a divorced single mom this past year has been difficult for me due to health issues and the economy.  The economic issues do not make me special others have suffered much worse than I have.  There are also many divorced single moms in worse shape financially and health than I have experienced.  Maybesharing My New Year resolution (or Life Changing Resolution)  to take better care of my health, weight and finances will help uplift others.  God gives us our body (temple) to take care of and to enjoy life, but sometimes we fail miserably.  I feel if I put God first in my life and trust in him, he will help me with the temptations that come with trying to say no to certain foods and habits.  Luckily I've never been a smoker, never taken drugs, minimal use of alcohol and over the counter meds.  Life just sometimes goes too fast and especially for women we don't take time for ourselves. The old saying if Mom ain't happy ain't nobody happy can be very apt. I just want to be a better mom, daughter, sister, aunt, etc. to my family and stick around to enjoy them all.  May God Bless you all this coming year and help you meet your resolutions and goals.

I want to be thankful and gracious in everything I do. In that way, I would hope to share my gifts and abundance with others.

I am thankful and I am humbled by the fact I was born in America and have been raised with the privelages that only this society affords us.

I am going to make a difference and that starts with being personally responsible for all acts of character.

Last year rather than set an unrealistic goal  I decided to set a goal of visiting at least one person a month and be a friend to them. Throughout the year I visited more than one person a month and this year I added another once a month goal.

I am an elementary school teacher and with the recession, haven't had a raise in 3 years.  I'm trying to pinch pennies and get my money to work FOR me, not work for my money.  I resolve to use AAA discounts more this year so I can use the saved money to provide items for my classroom that the district has cut funding for.

I am resolved to finally clean out the garage so I can pull my car in.

Organize and clean out the two car garage so we can get at least one car in it by hurricane season.
